2015 Wrap Up

i wanted to do a post sharing my thought on the year of 2015, as today is New Years Eve i thought it would be nice to reflect on some thoughts of mine. First off i'd like to thank all of you guys that come to see the weird posts that i put on here from time to time and although i don't have anyone that comments on my posts just knowing that someone is possibly looking at this makes me happy, and in the end of the day this blog is for me, and i hope people realize what i mean when i say this, i mean that this blog is something i would personally like to look back at and remember my teenage years or my young adult years and reminisce on. Without further ado let's begin!! So i would say that 2015 had a lot in store for me, there were a lot more good days then bad so i'd give a plus for that, but 2015 was a year my life shifted from a teenager in high school who was about to graduate to a young adult going into her first year of college, and it meant a lot to me knowing that i had help along the way for that, and i couldn't be any happier of what 2015 has brought in store for me like my first tattoo, me getting over my fear of driving, meeting new people and hanging out with old ones, it was all sooo nice and i loved that, i was able to explore my own emotions and be more independent and prove to myself that i can get through it all as long as i told myself i could because my worst enemy is essentially myself, and this year was a reflection of who i became as a person, i learn so much about myself each and every single day and it's incredible, i got to love so many great people and appreciate them for who they are, and that's beautiful in itself, so thank you 2015, for being a great year, on to the next i suppose ;) 2016.. here I come.

My Jail Time in Spain Dream - 12/31/15

so yet again i had another dream and this time it toke place  with me being in jail although i wasn't sure of what my crime was and how i got there but i saw that i was in jail and then all of a sudden this man comes in with a gun and shoots some of the prison guards and i was able to escape the jail and so i went running and i saw the man shooting at multiple innocent people while he was running away as well so i tried my best to avoid where he was going off to because i wasn't sure if he wanted to kill me as well, and then some time passed on and suddenly i was in Spain



and i was also trying to run and escape from there because i think i was then pronounced as a fugitive because i was on the run from the police, and i saw that the spanish police was coming after me because they got a call saying there was a fugitive in their country, so great i start running and then i fins myself lost because i keep on looking around trying to see where the best location i can hide in but i avoided that too so i just kept on moving never standing just constantly moving and then i find a gorgeous man that kept looking at me and he had a really slender face with black long hair that was in a ponytail...


he didn't exactly look like this but this is the best photo i could find that resembled how he looked like, but either ways this gorgeous man kept looking at me and saw that i was a bit frustrated so he decided to help me and he ran with me and we went through stairs, tons of stairs and different pillars to outrun the police but then soon enough he sacrifices himself because he knew i would get caught if he didn't so he slowed down and told me to keep running and later on he was caught by the police and that is where my dream ends, or what i could remember from it.

My Disneyland, Dinosaur Amusement Park, Sofia Vergara Dream - 12/30/15

My dreams are pretty weird so i thought it would be cool to kind of showcase them with other people considering i'm not really sure of why these dreams even happen to me.. dreams are very weird, or at least i think so but lately i've had a dream journal in which i put down my dreams in and kind of try to remember to my best ability of what they are and well i thought it would be cool to kind of share it and possibly find some meaning to it. So first off my dream or what i can last remember of it started out with my mom and dad and i going to disneyland, and i remember some of the rides being different from the actual rides in the amusement park, i remember my dad not really wanting to go because he told me that " people keep on dying here", so then we left, and next i saw that my friends had contacted me to let me know that we should go on an adventure of some sorts because they saw people posting pictures of this cool place that was like a dinosaur theme park.



but this wasn't your average dinosaur amusement park because i remember a glacier with a dinosaur on top of it as well as these different types of leg springs


which look like that ^^^^ ... and these leg springs have to be connected to us to simulate a dinosaurs hop because their behind legs are more sprung out and further back than our actual legs can go, and this was an obstacle course in the happenings because we had to survive the dinosaurs that were going to attack us, and on facebook i saw that my friend Harrison posted a graph showing that he was going to take up level 11 as a challenge, which on the picture showed that it was a steep wall that went upwards, and apparently that was the most challenging course of the amusement park.. and finally i then saw a random picture of Sofia Vergara that showed her on a boat but in the picture i saw a fish had went down right in between her boobs and the caption was " Fishy uh oh!!"...



now i'll look up the key terms that i had within this dream and see what this means....

May suggest a wish fulfillment in that you are wanting what they have.

Korean Drama Review : Twenty Again

So i wanted to do something a bit different, nothing too different from my actual movie reviews and or book reviews but i never shared that i enjoy asian movies and dramas and so on. But i do! I love them, i've watched a lot of asian dramas throughout middle school all the way up to high school but then i wasn't able to really stick with it because of school getting in the way, and i didn't find any drama that really spoke to me or made me feel like it was different from the cliches... but now finally that i'm in college i've regained a love of watching dramas all over again when i discovered this drama called " Twenty Again" the premise of this drama is that an older lady gets to relive her dreams of wanting to go to school since she wasn't able to do so during her 20s, hence the title being twenty again, so it's a drama filled with emotions and filled with self discoveries, it made me sad and happy and angry all at once and the cast that was making this come all alive was just magnificent!! This drama is one that i'll never forget simply because i thought i could relate to it a lot, and i'm glad i watched it at a point in my life that i was trying to discover myself even more, because this definitely did help me out. Regaining experiences and discoveries was a lovely detail of this show, and to see the hardships that Ha No Ra had to go through made it even that much better. Seeing her recover from all of her past experiences really made me reflect on myself, so i recommend this drama to everyone! It's enjoyable and pleasing to anyone that is in school or feels the need to want to experience school through someone else's eyes, as well as finding the positives come deep within the negatives, i love this drama so much, from start to finish, each episode was captivating and i hope you can enjoy it just as much as i did... take care everyone! :)

Amazon Haul: CDs and Bottle

Hey everyone!! I wanted to make a quick amazon haul because i just bought some stuff, which is not a shocker at all... i really love amazon, which isn't good because i keep on spending my money but it's fine... it's alright that i'm treating myself a bit, either ways! let's get started

okay so the first item i got was obviously a cd, because if you don't know, i like collecting cds from artists that i love so i mean that's just kind of a hobby of mine and i like to support the artists that happen to make these for fans so it's a win win situation. This Cd is the 2nd album that The Neighbourhood has put out which is called " Wiped Out!"... and i loveeeeee the neighbourhood, the are easily one of my favorite bands and i have their other cd which is " i love you" and i love that cd as well and i'm already in love with this album.. i'll put a link to the exact page where i bought it

here is the second album that i purchased which is actually from another band that i am really loving and is one of my faves as well which is Years & Years.... they are amazing and sound soooooo different and unique within each song and their composition of music is brilliant, so much hard work is shone throughout this album so i really appreciate it, this album is called Communion.. my favorite song from this album would have to be either King or Memo... both amazing, and here's the link to where you can purchase it.. --> Communion CD  <--.  the price for this CD is $9.49 and of course shipping and handling is included. 

the last item that i purchased from amazon is this thermo! It's really cute, it's pretty simple, nothing too crazy it has an elephant because they are my favorite animals and the print says " Elephants, life is beautiful" and i just thought it was really cute and it would be useful for me because i love drinking tea and i would love to bring this along to when i have to go to school, and i'll be going back to school shortly for winter session, and it's a night class so to stay warm i'll bring tea and it will just stay hot in this cup since that is the purpose of using thermos, so i thought it was convenient to get, also the color might not show up that great on the photos but this thermo cup is a teal color, it says its blue, which it is but it's more of a teal color so hopefully you're able to see that.. and here is the link for the cup --> Thermo Cup < -- and the price for this was $8.99 because it's on sale right now... it used to be $14.99 so now it's $8.99 which is great :) and shipping and handling is included like the rest of the products.. hope you liked this haul. i have something else i purchased that was not on amazon though, it's actually a present.. so i'll be sharing that with you guys as well... take care everyone!! :)

Book Review: Will Grayson, Will Grayson

 

Hey everyone sorry that i wasn't ever able to show my previous memories of disneyland or show my haul of amazon, i lost all the pictures i had of them.. and i ended up finishing this book and i've already started on another book which is from my box set of neil gaimans works, and i really like it so far but i've been quite busy because just yesterday i was finally done with my finals, and i knew i said  i would be doing a post each day but i honestly don't know how far along i can go with that, so whenever something interesting happens to me and in my life i'll share with you guys.. so far this book was okay to me... i got really confused because i wasn't sure who was talking at the right moment so that threw me off for most of the book, i did enjoy the story plot around it but it was a bit more confusing for me to even want to enjoy it, but don't let my tastes discourage you from wanting to give this book a chance because it was very funny and whacky on it's own, which i appreciated.

Color Pencils

I just bought some new color pencils off of amazon and that is the last thing i'll be buying for myself in a bit, haha i feel as though having a credit card really comes in handy, but at times i get carried away of how i'm spending it, i haven't done anything too crazy but i love to limit myself while i can. But either ways i bought some color pencils and i'll be showing you guys some markings and how it blends so if you would like to buy them then you can. I'll also post the page in which i bought it off from so you don't have to spend time searching for it, since i'm doing this drawing challenge now, in which i'm loving so far, i only have my crayola color pencils which are great and all but i think it's time that i upgrade on my color pencil game and buy some nice color pencils that will last a long time and that will blend better as well as create better features onto my drawings, well i hope you guys are all having a wonderful day, i'll talk to you all later, take care guys! :)

Bye Kitty

This is my second day drawing that i did in which i named " Bye Kitty" <--- i know i could've  came up with a more clever title but i mean it fits the crime, most of my drawings are going to be dark and or twisted, i have a love for drawing and art that is dark and brings some dark humor to it as well and well i think this is funny haha :) it's a cute childhood character that everyone knows of and practically loves, i mean i love hello kitty as well she is quite adorable but i always think of how some of our favorite childhood characters can become demented and horrifying, although this drawing isn't horrifying haha i feel as though it can be some sort of creepy pasta art form, hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to do another drawing :) Take care guys!! Dsyfuntial Santa

This is the first drawing i came up with for this drawing challenge of mine, and it's a bit of a play on words as far as the title goes, it's called " Dsyfuntial Santa" and the correct term would be of course Dsyfunctional, but i made it so that it would be called dsyfuntial because doing this project of mine is really fun and exciting for me, so don't worry kiddos haha i know how to spell :) for the most part.. ;) but i really had a lot of fun just doing this small drawing and taking the time to color it in as well, i know for sure i'm going to love doing this!

Drawing Challenge!

so i thought it would be fun and i got a little inspired by myself since i've been doing ariel's challenge of writing each day on my blog, i thought it would be fun to also try to challenge myself to doing a drawing challenge each day whether i want to or not, maybe i won't have time each day to draw but i thought knowing that i could do most of it for that part would be so cool!! so if you guys want to join me you can, you can draw anything, for today i'll be trying to draw something santa related ;) im getting into the winter spirit really fast.

Movie Review: The Good Dinosaur ( No Spoilers)

So oh gosh where do i start?! this was such an amazing movie!!! first off i watched this in 3d and usually i don't like 3d because i now wear glasses all the time so i have to put it on top of them but then i also don't like it because it starts to hurt my vision and or head because it strains my vision too much, but i mean i had to watch it in 3d... this movie is forrrrr sure to be seen at a movie theatre and in 3d because the whole environment just in closes you and it captivates you from left to right with amazing visuals, i swear this is like the best visuals i've seen in animation for a long time, such a beautiful story and such a beautiful message, it made me cry soooo much too but i always tend to cry while watching animation movies, it doesn't matter if it's a sad or a happy movie, i always cry though haha :) I recommend this to everyone that just wants to see an adorable story and also would want to see something new and refreshing because many of the aspects in this movie seemed very vibrant to view because they were new... one of my favorite movies of 2015 for sure. Movie Review: Mocking Jay Part 2 ( No spoilers)

So i went to the movies with my mom today and we happened to watch two movies, we watched this one of course and another movie, which i'll be putting up a movie review for as well ;) i'm not going to put any spoilers, i never have put any in my previous ones but maybe i should always address it just in case people are scared to read any further. To start off, i heard from people around me and on other social media sites that people were quite disappointed... and you know what, i have to disagree with them... i've read the series and i thought the directors did a great job at portraying it the best that they could, people said they expected more, but honestly i liked knowing the simplicity of it, it was really well done! I think everyone should give it a shot if they of course have seen the other ones in the series, it was a nice ending and i couldn't have asked for more, of course everyone sides with the book and how the book played out because " books are better than the movies".. and to that i say, to each their own. I think if someone can appreciate a book series and a movie series then that is awesome because i respect both aspects of the spectrum. Let me know what you guys think about it. share some thoughts with me.

Secret Santa

So my family is doing secret santa again for this year, and i'm pretty sure we are going to do this everytime for christmas which is totally fine and cool because i love planning out gifts that may go for a specific person and so this year i got my brother Omar, i had him last year for secret santa as well and i remember getting him a tshirt that was funny and a comic and a season of american horror story, so this time around i'm getting him sunglasses, two funny shirts and some quirky socks because he likes cool socks, and if i have more money to spend i'll see what else i can give him. I'll be showing all the gifts i'm giving to my family members from immediate family,, to my aunts so you can guys can get a feel as to what you can give as a present if you aren't sure of what to get for a specific person. Quick Amazon Haul

So i went on amazon and bought myself a little something something.. i made a wishlist so i know what books i would possibly want to have next in my graphic novel series. I saw this.. and it looked beautiful it's a box set of some of Neil Gaiman's works such as the Graveyard book, Fortunately, the Milk, and Coraline!! and i'm soooo excited to read them all!!! it was about $11 but with shipping and handling it came out to be $17 which is still fine with me considering this set could've easily costed around $23-30 so saving a couple bucks is really neat. 

here is the graveyard book, and the illustrator did a wonderful job with these covers, and so this set box is not a graphic novel type book where every page is art, instead it is a book with text throughout each page and here and there are illustrations of some of the characters and or scenes, and just having those illustrations throughout is sooo neat so i'm really excited to read all of these books. 

Here is Fortunately, the Milk and this just seems soooo quirky, i've never heard of this book or have seen it which i know is terrifying haha.. but now i'll be able to read this, it looks like a really adventure type book.

and last but not least Coraline!! and it is sad to say that i have never read the book Coraline, and i've always been wanting to, soon i will of course since now i have the copy of it, but coraline the movie captivated me and i fell in love with it, it's one of my favorite movies and i'm considering getting a coraline tattoo! :) because i love it that much and because i can haha well i just wanted to share this with you guys and if i have other hauls from other places i'll display them here with you and as a warning, i should've put this in the beginning of this post but whatever, i am not trying to brag about what i got or what i have. I simply shared it to show others if they are possibly interested and want to get it themselves, that is why i also included the price :) well take care guys!! :D

Happy Thanksgiving!... Day #8

hey guys!! wanted to wish all of you who happen to celebrate thanksgiving a happy thanksgiving!! :D and to the people in which who don't celebrate thanksgiving, i wish you all a wonderful day :) For me i won't be eating turkey of course, instead i will be eating a salmon burger... it's really good guys! I don't treat thanksgiving as a really special holiday, i view it as any other day to be completely honest because i think it's the same concept with valentines day, you should always be thankful of your loved ones and family members and you should always try to make time to spend some time with them as well.. that's just my opinion but again like i said i hope everyone has a wonderful day, cherish this moment to be with your family today, and eat some good food and take care everyone! :)

Passed My Test!... Day #7

Hey guys just wanted to update you, today was a busy day and i barely got home from being at the dmv at 11:20 am and then going to a bunch of different places, so it was an overall busy day but i passed my written test! woot woot! finally all the amount of time i was anxious about it has now gone away and i feel confident with my driving to say that i'll pass the driving test as well, so soon i'll be a licensed driver! :) which is great considering i shouldn't always be taken over a fear of mine, and i hope everyone can learn from their mistakes if maybe they happened to fail as well, so don't stress yourself out, it happens to pretty much everyone, just keep on studying and concentrate on the test itself. DMV... Day #6

I'm going to the DMV tomorrow for my written test and i know what you're possibly thinking... why haven't you done that already? I actually have take the written test before but i failed, and i will whole heartedly say that it was my fault that i failed because i didn't have a clear mind when i stepped into the DMV that day, i actually was very nervous and anxious and i went through it quickly, so now i'm hoping because not only have i studied more but have also come to realize my past mistakes then i will succeed with this time around. I feel confident about it because i've been taking a lot of online tests regarding similar questions that may appear on it, so the thought of knowing the material is awesome and i really hope i'm able to display that and get this over with. I had a hard time trying to even get close to cars at one point because i had and am still struggling with some of my anxiety issues, i've known a lot of close friends and relatives getting in horrible car accidents and it's scared me away from wanting to learn how to drive for a long time, i've gotten so much better and i'm proud at the fact that i was willing to push through and conquer this fear, so if anyone that is reading this is hesitant to want to learn how to drive, the advice i would give to you is to not put so much pressure in it, have a clear mind, always be safe but also take small steps and be comfortable of your limitations and boundaries and be aware of everything around you, take care guys :)

Will Grayson, Will Grayson... Day #5

Hey guys, i know i just put up a post of me wanting to read beauty queens but i actually decided that i wanted to read on my nook again because i haven't been able to read on there in a while so i thought i should leave beauty queens for a different day since i have a copy of it, it won't be going anywhere. So i am instead going to read will grayson, will grayson by john green and david levithan and this book is a bit older compared to the other young adult books that have already come out, but i've heard good things about this book so i can't wait to read it and of course when i finish it, i'll be doing a book review on it, take care guys!! :)

Winter Classes... Day #4

Hmm I'm not sure if i should really take up a winter class or not, which sucks because i would want to at least get a class out of the way but i'm not sure what will happen, i have a meeting with one of my teachers who happens to be a counselor at my school so i'm going to ask for her advice, but i mean i'll just see what happens and if for some reason i'm not able to make it for the semester then i guess i'll just have to wait around for spring, which isn't too bad. I shouldn't be worried about it but i can't help to wonder of what i should do, i'll figure it out somehow, well take care guys :) 

The Next Book I'll be Reading... Day#3

This is the new book that i'll be reading and although its a new book that i'll be reading, it isn't new to me because i've had this book since last christmas but of course i told myself it didn't matter when i would finally come around to reading it because i knew i was going to be busy or in a reading slump, but now that i'm in college and i have to study i found it was more difficult to try to read stuff that i wanted to catch up on but we have breaks in between our classes and while our classes are going on so i thought i would be able to read more and i have been able to and i love it, it made me go back into reading and see how much i loved it from the first place, so here we go this is the new book i'll be reading and of course i'll make a book review as well showing my thoughts of this book as a whole until next time guys, take care :)

Book Review: This One Summer

This One Summer is a graphic novel by Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki, i told you guys that i would still be doing my book reviews as well as my movie review because it's something i've enjoyed sharing personally! So hope you enjoy.. Let's get started, i want to share with you the synopsis of this book which is " An Unforgettable Summer. Rose and her parents have been going to Awago Beach since she was a little girl. It's her summer getaway, her refuge. Her friend Windy is always there, too, like the little sister she never had, completing her summer family. But this summer is different. Rose's mom and dad won't stop fighting, and Rose and Windy have gotten tangled up in a tragedy-in-the-making in the small town of Awago Beach. It's a summer of secrets and heartache, and it's a good thing Rose and Windy have each other. In This One Summer, cousins Mariko Tamaki and Jillian Tamaki , the team behind the award-winning skim, redefine the teen graphic novel. Gorgeous, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful, This One Summer is a vibrant view into girlhood and growing up." 

My View: This Graphic novel was sooooooo breathtaking with it's illustration as well as with it's use of writing that fits so perfectly to each detail. This is such a relate-able graphic novel that depicts what girlhood is and the problems that they have to face when wanting to grow up. Such a sweet yet like the synopsis said.. heartbreaking, and of course i won't spoil as to why it would be heartbreaking, you guys would have to see for yourselves, but i thoroughly enjoyed this graphic novel from start to finish, it really made me reflect onto some of the problems i dealt with when i was a young girl and what it meant to grow out of it as well. I think everyone should pick this wonderful story up and give it a try, take care guys :)   

Cold Weather With A Sweater... Day #2

This morning i went outside my house because i was heading off to school and a cool breeze came down upon me and i loved the feeling of being able to wear my Marvel Sweater finally because it meant that it finally felt like winter was coming around, and isn't that neat? To think that certain weather or certain moods that follow that weather are accustomed to how that person feels about that season. I happen to love winter time and the cold weather that winter has to offer, considering all we have had to deal with the past couple of months is just nothing but heat, it's always nice to have that breeze come and go. I wished it were able to snow down here in California but at the same time everything happens for a reason, or that is what i believe either ways, but California wouldn't be California if it didn't have a sunny bright sky and warm weather around it. I can't wait for winter to come around, one of my favorite seasons considering my favorite holiday is in the season, and also just seeing all the decorations around everywhere just makes me feel serene, and it's quite interesting to see how something so small can give you so much joy and warmth. Ariel Bissett Inspires Me... Day #1

Ariel Bissett inspires me once again with her newest upload which is ... NaNoWriMo ... this video just set me into what i believe is a trance, a beautiful thought, she describes what NaNoWriMo is and how she has failed into completing that challenge, and i would as well. But she challenges herself by making it her own project which is to write something everyday, and she even added an aspect of getting her bf involved by having him send photos to her and her writing a response to it which i thought was brilliant because i've been doing that for some time with this blog of mine, i love writing and this is sort of an escape to be able to do something that i love to do, and so i wanted to take up this challenge as well and write summaries, or stories or just simply write what i want to write each day on here, so i'll always have content to share for not only myself but for the other people that happen to view this as well. This will be my first post of the Writing challenge so i hope you guys will somehow take part in it if you desire to do so... take care guys!! :D

My Tattoo

I have been meaning to post this when i first had it done but i kind of just put it off to the side because my life was pretty busy after i got it. I got this tattoo August 21st, which i think was a friday not too sure about that, but i got it with my cousin and my brother was around, it was very special to me to know that the people i love were going to witness this happen to me as well so it was a lovely experience. My anxiety got the best of me at first so i was quite nervous the ride there and when i first went inside the shop but as soon as i sat on the chair its as though all my worries were gone. The pain was bearable which most people tend to say, i won't do a scale of how painful it was because everyone has different perceptions of pain and what their pain tolerance is, so although this tattoo did not hurt much for me maybe for someone else it would hurt more, but please don't be discouraged about the pain, it is very tolerable and if that is what is holding you back from getting one than maybe you should think a bit before you get one. You have to be dedicated of course in order to get a tattoo knowing that it is going to be on your skin forever, so make wise choices :) This tattoo has a very special place in my heart and is a memory that is very fond to me, this tattoo has a meaning to me that i find very empowering to myself. To others it may seem just to be a crow and a clock but to me it is beyond that. Think of Everyone

With the recent issue of Paris, many people are taking the time out of their day to recognize everyone in Paris and pray for them with the Pray for Paris logo and hashtag. But we also have to recognize that a lot of other countries are suffering as well, so i wanted to take the time out of my day, which is nothing at all compared to what these people have to deal with.. in order to say to think about the whole world. A lot of different areas are dealing with their own crisis, so we want to take time to acknowledge them as well... so so sad to hear of what is happening around everywhere, all i can say about it is that i wish the best for all the families and friends and i hope everyone is safe and doing well.  I hope we won't have to hear about another tragic news in a while. Let's all help each other out to the best of our abilities. Take care everyone and please be safe. 

My DIY of Christmas Wreaths!!

I'm really excited to share this with you guys , which will be the DIY of how to make some really cute christmas wreaths! Whether you want to make one for yourself or for someone else, it's really up to you! :) And that is what is so neat about it, you get to choose anything you want for it. So as you can see here this photo shows 3 shopping bags from Michael's.... i don't play around people ;) but there is some great news!! all of these goodies, cost only $40 in total, Michaels is having a great sale going on, so if you would like to do this, i suggest you get some supplies soon. 

This is what a 24 inch wreath looks like, it is about 7.99 which isn't bad considering you're able to do anything you want with it.. and you don't have to get the same size or the same color! Feel free to get a white wreath or just a 12 inch one. It doesn't matter at all. 

Keep in mind that when you work on this wreath... it will get messy! so make sure to get some newspapers or some old tshirts you don't mind getting dirty and lay it down on a flat surface for you to be able to work on... i just chose my kitchen counter cause why not?! :D.. so in the picture there i have two tshirts layed across, one is for the wreath and the other one is for the supplies, which are mostly alllllll glittery and it gets really messy.. so the main things you need in this process is a hot glue gun and some scissors. :) I already had ribbon at my house, but you don't have to do this step.. i only do this because  i always do this. I wrap it around the wreath so it will hold down some of the bigger pieces. 

Here is a picture showing the decorations i got for the first wreath i am working on.. this is why i put the tshirt across because as you can tell some of the decorations have glitter all over them... so it can be a real pain in the butt to have to clean that up if you don't have something under it. :) For the first wreath i wanted to do a red and gold look, but don't feel pressured to do these colors, have fun experimenting and trying out what you ultimately want, there are no rules here! 

the next step is to maybe map out what you ultimately want on your wreath. So i got some fake flowers to put on this wreath and i was just locating them to where i want them.. and then you just go on from there with all of the other items, be careful not to hurt yourself with the wreath because at times it is prickly and make sure not to burn yourself when gluing down the items as well, don't rush it, just do little by little until you see a result that you like. :) 

Here is the finished product of the first wreath, which was the red and gold themed. I really loved making it, and i tried to stick to the theme i wanted for this one, so the decorations i got for it were mostly red and gold, but remember there are endless options in Michaels, so choose anything your heart desires! :) if you want a cool colorful looking wreath then do it! If you want a traditional wreath, then that is just as fine as well. 

I told you guys i would be making two wreaths, and so i did! there is the finished product of that one, and this one was just themed as white and red :) very classy, i loved making these, so don't be afraid to try it out, something that is homemade seems so much livelier in person, so if you want to make this for someone , i definitely encourage it! it makes a nice and sweet gift, the person that will receive it will appreciate the time and effort spent on it.. have fun guys! i hope i could help in any way of what to do... i would have gone more into detail, but i truly want this experience to be your own, you can always reflect and look back to mine but i would love to know that it is your own creation, not mine :) See ya guys another time and remember... take care!! :D  

Going to Disneyland!!

Soon I will be going to Disneyland with my mom!! :) I'm excited for it, i hope this doesn't sound like i am bragging about it, but i'm actually purchasing the tickets for us. I wanted to go to Disneyland because well I haven't gone there when it's around Christmas time in a while, and i love the winter season and all the lights and decorations, so one of my favorite times to visit Disneyland is around this time because 1) it's not going to be a hot summer day... so waiting in lines will be easier to handle.. 2) Christmas decorations!! I mean what more can i say!!! :D I will be taking some photos of the place of course so i can share the experience with you guys on here! Hopefully it'll get you guys in a cheery spirit, i'll be going to disneyland i think on the second week of December, and i can't wait for it! I'm hoping there won't be that many people because it'll be on a day where i think people are still in school so yay! Either ways, I'll post that up for you guys! Btw. i still haven't gone to Michaels, so don't worry i didn't forget about that, i just haven't had time to go there, but i'm thinking hopefully i'll be able to go tomorrow. Take care guys!! :D 

I'm Making Some Christmas Wreaths!!

Hey Guys!! :) so soon i'll be visiting my former teachers from my high school and i'll be making 2 Christmas wreaths for them, but they don't know it ;) so i'm really excited to do this little "project" i thought  i should share with you guys maybe of how to do it, so i can kind of show you guys a DIY of some sorts, or the best of my ability, soon i should be going to Michaels and that is the place i usually get all of my materials from including a plain green wreath which could be $5-$10 depending on the size of the actual wreath, and it might be on sale, you could always find coupons on Michaels at their website so you can save some cash from the total of the price. :) I get all my materials though, it isn't cheap just to warn you guys so that is why i suggest getting some coupons from there so you can save some money, the total price for one wreath including the wreath and ribbon and flowers and other accessories may come out to be $30-$40.. which isn't that bad considering it would be all made by you, so i encourage anyone to try this if they maybe want to make this as a christmas present to someone, it's really fun for me to do because i love cute arsty/ crafty projects to do. So it's just a suggestion, but don't worry guys i'll take pictures along the way of how both of them will look like, so i'll try my best to get the steps down and what's needed most :) It's really nice talking to you guys, i'll make sure to post soon when i go to Michaels and get everything ready! I Got a New Phone

This is the HTC Desire 610, aka my new phone, i'm not trying to make this post to brag about how i have a new phone, i just thought it would be neat to share if someone wants this as a phone so i can share what i personally like about it. Well first off this is the second smart phone i've had, my first smart phone was an iphone 4, and i had that since i was 15, it stayed intact for a long time although i'm very clumsy and i dropped it a lot of times i happened to not shatter the glass which was cool but either ways i wanted to get a new phone because my iphone was getting old and i was experiencing some difficulties with it, my phone calls kept on dropping and i couldn't hear the other person on the phone... it was quite horrible. So i decided to get this phone, well actually it chose me, my dad had this phone for a while but wasn't able to activate it so then he just told me i could have it, which was a perfect timing, i must say i really like the design of this phone, it's light weight compared to my iphone, it has a sleek design, the camera is nice! it has a front facing camera as well for all those people that want to take selfies :) it's easy to maneuver which is nice considering i wanted something simple. It works well, not much else to say other than it's a great phone if anyone is looking for a smartphone in the future, take care guys!! :D  

Sherry Turkle: Connected, but alone?

   Hey everyone, i just wanted to post this video, if you guys have time out of your day please view this. I think everyone can find this entertaining to watch and also informational. This video talks about the relationship we share with technology. This is something i think everyone should view because of the overall message that she shares, it's actually quite depressing how much we rely on technology when it comes to physical relationships, so if there is an option to share the idea, well this is it. Why I Became Pescetarian

Hello Everybody! So i just wanted to discuss something that is present in my life, or has been in a while. I'm not doing this for "bragging rights" of being a pescetarian or to tell you to become one, i'm just here to inform as to why i became one. I don't really like meat other than fish, it's that simple.. i got sick and tired of poultry meats, they did not make me happy, time to time my stomach would get upset with eating meat, i thought of becoming a vegetarian at first but then i saw that there is something called "pescetarian" which is a type of vegetarian in which you eat seafood rather than eating farm land animals like pigs, cows, and chickens... aka ( poultry). I was never really a fan of chicken, i really started to dislike chicken more and more throughout the years.. i'm so glad i'm not eating chicken anymore... whenever i ate chicken i would feel disgusting, all of these hormone induced chickens are sickening. I do like fish and seafood though, so i stuck with being a pescetarian and i've been a pescetarian for 1 year and 2 months.. and i'm honestly soooo happy!! :D I don't eat too much fish in my diet for it to harm me because too much fish is not good either... it's all in moderation and in a balance. So it's not like i eat fish everyday, the most i eat fish is maybe twice a week, it's usually only once a week, which is fine :) Most of the time i'm just eating grains and veggies! I feel a lot more healthier from this transition, something so simple as changing up your diet can really improve your energy and the way your body feels overall. Meat always made me feel like junk food makes me feel, slumpish, lazy, etc. Taking out most meat out of my diet except fish really made a change in the way i felt each day, :) I hope this was kind of informational if you have any questions, please ask away in a comment! College Life

 

Isn't it crazy how time passes by soooo quickly? Hey guys, I haven't shown up in my blog recently and here is why. College has kept me busy for a bit so i hope you can understand but also the reason as to why i haven't really checked up on here is because i didn't really like how my blog was going. It was the same stuff each time.. the routine got boring for me, don't get me wrong i loved doing what i did but i didn't think it really represented my thoughts or what i wanted this blog to be about.. i still would love to do book and movie reviews but what i want to change about my blog are the topics i talk about.. on soundcloud i have a pod cast in which i talk about my life.. it's called '" Yvette Goes Noob" if you want to check it out.. that is something i truly love and am proud of. That also doesn't mean i'm not proud of this.. because i am :) I love the people that take time and just view this content, it means a lot, even just not seeing any comments but just knowing someone is able to take some time and view my work is awesome so thank you for that... I'm hoping this blog can be something i can look back and see how i've grown in life.. I want to create and share ideas. Take Care guys! :D I'll see you soon
